Klozier here. Saw a great band last week. Had no intention of doing so, but just as I thought I had had quite enough to drink, a three piece power/pop outfit called Fuzee took the stage. Unassuming as well as unpretentious, the boys could have been mistaken for three more faces in the crowd until a wall of clean, hard edged music hit the room like a wave. Good lyrical content complimented by well placed two-part harmonies resounded song after song. The material was the type that had you singing along with each chorus to infectious melodies.
Their latest release is a testament to radio ready rock where overindulgent solos and prefabricated tricks are abondoned for what John Q Public actually wants - a good fucking song.
Though the disk is self recorded, the boys had the good sense to enlist the talents of Trevor Sadler for mastering.Technology meets straight ahead songwriting and structure for a record well worth checking out.
